Join us for the International Congress of Pueri Cantores
December 27, 2005 – January 2, 2006

Pope John Paul II Rome - Popes, Vandals, the Borgias and Napoleon, Garibaldi, Michelangelo and Mussolini and, of course, the ancient Romans themselves all have left their physical and spiritual mark on Rome, but though she keeps the glory of an ancient day about her, she remains a wellspring of creative energy; in short, she really is the Eternal City.

Sala Nervi in the VaticanNow it will be the spectacular site of the 2005 International Congress of Pueri Cantores. Selected children's choirs are invited to participate in workshops, individual choir performances, and a combined participation in a Papal Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica.

In addition to performances and workshops in Rome, choirs can choose from itinerary options to perform in other parts of Italy or Europe. Popular Florence and Venice give the participants opportunities to enjoy the rich historical, educational and cultural highlights of these great cities.

St. Peter's Basilica Children's choirs will be selected and invited based upon recommendation and/or audition tape. Accommodation for the Congress is in hotels or religious houses close to the Vatican. A full program of scheduled workshops, rehearsals, pilgrim’s tours in and around Rome, together with performances in the Basilica and other churches, offer unique and stimulating opportunities for all participants.
