Michael Kibblewhite Michael Kibblewhite is one of the UK’s best known choral directors. He was a boy chorister at Magdalen College, Oxford, and then a Music Scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge. His is renowned for founding and directing the prize-winning Cambridge Chorale, East London Chorus, Harlow Chorus, Hertfordshire Chorus and King’s Lynn Festival Chorus.

Mr Kibblewhite is especially committed to working with young voices, and directs courses for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. He founded Cantate, a community youth choir with open access and no auditions. Cantate has gained many awards in national and international competitions, including the Children’s Choir of the Year award, First Prize Cum Laude at the 2006 Europees Muziekfestival in Belgium, and Second Prize in the 2007 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales. However, the central core of Cantate’s mission is to give its young singers the highest quality musical experience in a family atmosphere of friendship and fun.
