Big Band Jam

From April 18 - 27, 2008, jazz bands and jazz choirs from across the country are invited to Washington, D.C. to participate in our nation's BIG BAND JAM!

In any one day, groups can attend a workshop of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, perform at picturesque Sylvan Theater, attend a masterclass at the Kennedy Center - as well as hear a top-flight university or professional ensemble perform on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center - and catch a show at the famed Blues Alley Supper Club.

Lucerne International Choral Festival

The 2008 Lucerne festival will be a combined choir accompanied by full orchestra in the outstanding Kultur-und-Kongresszentrum Luzern, Lucerne's Culture and Convention Center [KKL]

National Community Concert Band Sousa Festival

This unique band festival will include individual performances at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Virginia, then on the following day a massed performance by all the bands at the Thomas Jefferson National Memorial in Washington, D.C. Participating bands will also have the opportunity to visit Historic Congressional Cemetery to lay a wreath and possibly perform one or two pieces at the graveside of John Philip Sousa, "The March King."

National Memorial Day Choral Festival

Come celebrate 225 years of liberty through song, and honor America's heroes from the American Revolution through Operation Iraqi Freedom, in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts over Memorial Day Weekend.

Pueri Cantores American Festival

Plans are currently underway for a grand celebration of Catholic youth choirs from North and Central America. The Pueri Cantores American Festival will take place in Washington, D.C. on July Fourth Weekend, 2008. National and ethnic groups will sing songs of their heritage and will culminate with a Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Somerset International Youth Choral Festival

Music Celebrations is happy to announce the Somerset International Youth Choral Festival, July 7 - 11, 2008. This festival is a continuation of the long tradition of childrens and youth festivals MCI has produced in England and Europe. Youth choirs (both treble and mixed youth voices) will be invited and selected based upon recommendation and/or audition tape.

Windy City Youth Choral Festival

Music Celebrations is pleased to announce the Windy City Youth Choral Festival, June 26 – 29, 2008. Youth choirs (both treble and mixed youth voices) will be invited and selected based upon recommendation and/or audition tape. The Festival performance will take place on Saturday, June 28th in Chicago’s renowned Orchestra Hall, and will feature the talented young singers of the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus.
